COMICS ABOUT THE POST-WAR ERA

Werner Abresch collected objects of everyday culture, particularly items from the postwar period. Often born of necessity and crafted from the remnants of war: flower vases made from shell casings, clothes sewn from parachute silk. Perhaps the best-known example is the steel helmet that was transformed into a kitchen colander. Inspired by some of the 2,000 objects in the Abresch Collection, these comic stories have been created. they trace the history of these objects, bring the past to life, and help us better understand the German postwar period.
